A: Parents should please continue to pay school fees for the year as far as possible. Should you have difficulty in doing so, please contact the school to discuss the matter.

Tablet/Login Issues:

Q: Help! Neither myself or my child can remember their Google Classroom username or password. What do I do?

A: Please email either KB@settlers.org.za for assistance.
Q: My school tablet cannot connect to our home wifi or my mobile hotspot. What is wrong?
A: At school, learners can only connect to the Internet if they connect via our school proxy server – hardware that allows us to manage Internet usage at our school. This may interfere when trying to connect to the Internet at home.

Here is how to turn the proxy settings off on the tablet if you need to:

Step 1: Left-click on the Windows start menu.
Step 2: Immediately type the word “proxy”
Step 3: Left-click on “Change proxy settings”
Step 4: Toggle the button that says “Automatically detect settings” to on (it must be blue)
Step 5: Scroll down and make sure that “Use a proxy server” is off (it must be grey)
Step 6: Exit the Settings menu by clicking the cross at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

If you are still having issues with connectivity on the tablet, we recommend that you visit this site and try following the instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10741/windows-fix-network-connection-issues
